New Works New Worlds festival promotes an inspiring fusion of creativity and social innovation, encouraging artists to explore their connections to the wider world and express their findings through performance, visual art, writing and music. NWNW started in 2005 as New Writing New Worlds, a festival dedicated to new performance and literary development. The festival has since evolved to find a niche in the Scottish cultural landscape: programming politically and globally engaged art and continuing to support visionary artists through grass roots experimentation.

Artistic Director
Suzi Simpson
New Works New Worlds is programmed and run by Artistic Director Suzi Simpson. As Associate Producer of the Arches, Suzi recently produced and set up a 2010 tour of Nic Green's Trilogy and produced the award winning venue The Arches at St Stephens (Fringe First winner 2009) and Nic Green's Trilogy (Herald Angel winner 2009, ***** The List, Metro, Guardian, Herald) at the Edinburgh Fringe 2009 . Suzi works as Company Manager for Ankur Productions and has also worked with artists such as Alan McKendrick and the Riot Group, Al Seed and Cora Bissett. Suzi studied Theatre Studies & English Literature at Glasgow University, graduating with an MA Honours degree.
